The vanilla minecraft glass bottles are now called "Glass Vials", and are still used for potions. They are also still crafted the same.
Info
Glass bottles are a new item added in order to more appropriately hold Juices. The only use for these bottles is Juices.
Crafting
Glass bottles are crafted using two more glass than Vials, making a taller shape. Every 5 glass used for crafting wields 3 bottles.
