The Scavenger Hunt
There were five books written by Mapsey McWayfinder, a leprechaun who really has a way with words. Players would need to piece together the clues in each book to find the location of the Lucky Charms:
- Magic Tome
- Golden Horsehoe
- Lucky Rabbit's Foot
- Lucky Penny
- Flint's Fisher
Finding all five Lucky Charms rewarded the player with Leprechaun Gold (x32) and Pot O' Gold.
The lore description for Pot O' Gold:
"There once was a pot that was emptied of gold, it's treasures long gone, or so I was told. But swing it around, and you'll soon see, it's slap is worth more than a gold bar would be!"
The lore description for Leprechaun Gold:
"Blocks of gold, the leprechaun's stash. They glimmer and gleam, but vanish fast. A treasure so grand, yet fleeting and sly...Like a rainbow that fades from the morning sky!"
Charm Books
Each charm corresponded to a book. In this section, you can read what was written in each book. Enjoy!
Charm #1
"In the shadow of the glyph of Spawn, Rose the tower of DOG, against the dawn. A leprechaun ventured, his heart full of cheer, "All the world's riches must be kept here!" He entered the bank but began complaining, "All that's here is this dusty old painting!" He was not the type to leave empty-handed, So he hopped on a chair, and onto the frame he landed. He ascended the frame but lost his grip, And into the painting he began to slip. He fell through like there was nothing there, And into a library he fell, midair. His fall broke the silence with a loud SPLAT! And drew the attention of the library cat. The leprechaun now had nowhere to hide, As the cat opened it's mouth very wide. Though the cat, replete, did not eat him whole, Instead dropped him in DOG's food bowl. The mighty DOG peered over his desk and inside the bowl he saw the pest. "What business have you here in my hall?" DOG asked him as he licked his paw. "I am a leprechaun, it's riches I seek. I saw your fine tower and decided to peek." "The riches here are worth more than gold; Open a book and head into the fold." "I suppose I can look. What harm will it do?" At once, into the pages he flew. He read of creation, of world's gone by, Of the reason dergons descend from the sky. He knew for not how long he had read, But his beard was long enough to spool thread. What wonders those pages had shown; Bound to this book, he was forever sewn. The leprechaun wept, his gold set aside, For wisdom was wealth he had not tried."
Charm #2
"Beneath the moon's lunar glow, A leprechaun wailed: "Oh! Where did it go?!" His lucky horseshoe, his charm for years, Was lost that night, eyes full of tears. Desperate and determined, with a spell at hand, He summoned a demon from under the land. The creature emerged with a grin dark and sly, "What is your bidding? Be swift with your why..." The leprechaun pleaded, his voice shrieked with dread, "Guide me, foul demon, to forge anew, Horseshoe with power as lucky and true!" The demon's laugher rang out like bells, "Seek out the blacksmith, the best in the hells. Their hammer strikes true, their forge burns hot, They'll craft your charm, if suitable metal you've brought." The demon returned to the inferno below, And the leprechaun followed with an ingot in tow. He sought out the blacksmith in a lake full of fire, The flames burnt his beard as he began to perspire. The blacksmith toiled as they mythic forge glowed, With molten gold, the magic bestowed. The new horseshoe glistened, a treasure untold, A charm reborn of the purest gold. The little leprechaun's luck as finally restored, By the golden horseshoe he much adored."
Charm #3
"At the door of the famous Rabbiton Lounge, A leprechaun grumbled, for entry he scrounged. "Your rank is too low..." Bouncer the bunny decreed, For entry tonight, it's luck you'll need!" With a devious smirk and a glint in his eye, The leprechaun schemed as the stars drifted by. In the woods, he laid out a trap, It was not long before he heard a SNAP! An old rabbit, foot caught in the snare, "I know of a way to get you down from there!" A deal was struck, though a morbid one, He had agreed to amputate the bun. A lucky charm was crafted, the foot now his prize, He strolled back into town, his rank on the rise! "Let me in now!" he declared gleefully. For my luck has turned, as you can see!" Bouncer, scared stiff, let him pass through the door, That night, only three feet hit the dance floor."
Charm #4
"Under the hustle of the old market square, A leprechaun named Jingles danced without care. He jingled his coin, his lucky delight, But fate had a twist for him tonight. The penny slipped from his careless hand, And rolled down the drain, it sank through the land. "Oh...shoot!" he pulled out his hair, "There goes my luck, lost down there!" With a daring leap and a flick of his hat, He squeezed through the grate and fell perfectly flat. The sewer below was a world untold, A treasure trove glimmering, a sight to behold. Ne'er-do-wells and criminals bartered and schemed, While treasures sparkled and artifacts gleamed. "Welcome!" they cheered, "To our hidden domain, where riches abound beneath the drain!" His penny was found but his eyes did roam, For this black market felt oddly like home. From luck to misfortune, he'd certainly grown wise, Sometimes loss leads to the greatest surprise!"
Charm #5
"Deep in the pirate's lair, a leprechaun squired in Captain Flint's snare. "I've caught ye, little one, your gold is the the free, But first ye be bait for the fish in the sea!" With a hook in his coat and a rope 'round his hat, The leprechaun cried, "You'll pay for that!" But Captain Flint laughed as he cast the line, "I'll have enough fish to last me lifetime!" The waves, they ripped, the seas did roar, As the leprechaun dangled just off the shore. Yet clever he was, with a plan in his head, To outwit the captain and to fish not be fed. He whistles a tune, his charm made waves, Out came the fish from their watery caves! They splashed and gnashed, causing such strife, Flint dropped his line just to save his own life! The leprechaun grinned and swam to shore, With this one trick he had settled the score. So beware the reef and the tricks of yore, A leprechaun's wit: more than ye bargained for."
