On a soon but currently unannounced date, the mysterious survival cult known as [[The Black Dawn]] will test players with a large-scale challenge unlike anything seen before on Runsafe. The "Proving Grounds" will require all your survival/exploration skill... and more. The player who comes out on top will win the head of thall83.

In less than an hour, the five temples were located, leaving [[Crayble1]], [[BumbleBee0123]], MkX13, [[Jesse_070296]] and kiiaz each with a skull. No prizes were awarded, and the event was revealed to be the "first stage" for a "test" not explicitly explained. A subsequent event known as [[The Trial]] was announced to be the "second stage", although it was open to the entire playerbase for entry.

On September 21st 2013, players were brought into a new Survival world limited to a 2000x2000 block space by Skalamandar of The Black Dawn, with five hidden "temples" scattered throughout the map. Players were told to locate these temples and collect the skulls hidden inside each one.

In less than an hour, the five temples were located, leaving Crayble1, BumbleBee0123, MkX13, Jesse_070296 and kiiaz each with a skull. No prizes were awarded, and the event was revealed to be the "first stage" for a "test" not explicitly explained. A subsequent event known as The Trial was announced to be the "second stage", although it was open to the entire playerbase for entry.
