Can I play Huckleberry?!

At this moment in time, Huckleberry has not yet been launched! The launcher is available for download but you won't get very far when trying to log in yet. There will be a beta period where some testers will be invited into the game, after that there will be a world reset before launch!

Logging in...

Logging into Huckleberry does NOT use your Minecraft/Mojang account details, rather is uses the e-mail address and password of your Runsafe account which you can create on our website (https://runsafe.no).

The launcher doesn't work!

If you're on Windows, you will need at least .NET 4.5 which means Windows XP is not supported at this time. Mac/Linux users, your launcher is currently broken but we are working on fixing it!

What is Huckleberry?

Huckleberry is a custom-blend Minecraft client developed by Runsafe to offer a new game-play experience inside Minecraft focused on adventure and RPG aspects. Our aim is to bring more items to find, more exciting places to explore and a wide range of different things to create a more immersion-driven adventure for you. Huckleberry is fully online with a dedicated server maintained by Runsafe alongside our other online services.

Rules

Huckleberry runs on a single server with everyone sharing the same world therefore unlike our main server, there are some strict rules enforced. Breaking the rules to any extent will get your account removed from the access list.

  • No Griefing: The idea behind the game is to adventure with your friends and co-exist even with those who are not your friends. Because of this, we've outlawed griefing! That means no trashing peoples bases in the name of "lulz", no pinching everyone's items for your own loot-lair and no annoying other people. If you cause problems you will be removed.
  • Respect and Maturity: Huckleberry is aimed at a small community of people, we expect anyone joining the game to treat everyone else with the same respect and maturity levels they would expect in return. Anyone acting out of line will simply be removed rather than confronted.
  • Hacking/Exploiting: While gaining an advantage of items over another player is not the aim of Huckleberry, using any kind of hack or exploit will result in a permanent ban from the game which will extend to our main Runsafe server.

Installing Huckleberry (Windows)

Getting Huckleberry on Windows is simple, download the executable (https://github.com/Runsafe/huckleberry-launcher/releases/download/v1.0.2/HuckleberryLauncher.exe) somewhere on your computer and run it. Every time you want to play Huckleberry, simply run the launcher again! The launcher will handle everything for you, from authentication to keeping your game client up-to-date each time you launch it.

Installing Huckleberry (Mac/Linux/Windows XP)

Firstly, download and install Git (http://git-scm.com/downloads) for your operating system, following the installation wizard through, leaving all the settings at default.

Once done, download the Unix launcher script (https://github.com/Runsafe/huckleberry-launcher/releases/download/v1.1/unix_launch.sh) and save it somewhere in a special folder (this folder will be the place where all of the libraries and assets for Huckleberry get installed). Double-click on the script and it should open a terminal asking you for your username and password.

If for some reason your computer does not know which program to open the script with, right click inside the folder and select "Git Bash Here", in the terminal that opens up type in "sh unix_launch.sh" and this should open up the script.
