Revision as of 15:10, 30 May 2013

The Survival world on Runsafe has only one rule: No Law-breaking. Everything else is allowed (Expect hacking), you are free to grief and pillage all you like. It is advised that you build your house far away and well hidden, as there is no protection against looters stealing your stuff and/or blowing up the things you've built. A well hidden base is a safe base!

As of May 2013, Runsafe is no longer running the locked chest system, but there is a bank for storing the items you value most in survival. Only you and you alone can access items you place in your bank.

How get into the Survival worlds

To enter our Survival hub from spawn, simply walk into the first available building on the left.

Directions from Spawn to Survival

Once you are inside this building you will notice there are two portals. Our admis have created one portal that will teleport you somewhere in Survival on the surface and one portal that will teleport you somewhere underground. These portals will teleport you within 10'000 blocks of x=0 and z=0.

Afraid of warp campers? Do not worry! Another exciting feature the admins have implemented is the warps are unique to each player. At the moment, if two players tried to portal to Survival at the same time, from the same portal, they will not end up together.

We also have a portal to The End in the Survival hub. This portal will teleport you somewhere into The End world.

We used to have a warp to The Nether but seeing as players can create one, we removed this service.

Commands for the Survival World

These are the commands that we have open for players to use within the survival world if you would like to see a complete list of commands visit the Command Reference.

  • /sethome <name> - Sets your location as one of your homes.
  • /home - Tells you all your available homes
  • /home <name> - Teleports you to one of your home locations.
  • /delhome <name> - Deletes one of your home locations.
  • /spawn - Teleports you to the survival spawn which acts as a server-wide spawn.

At the moment, the builder rank grants the user up to 5 homes, so use them well.

Worlds that survival has to offer

  • Overworld - Where Minecraft is normally played
  • Nether - The fiery hell that comes with Minecraft.
  • The End - Where you can find lots of enderman.
  • Space - Its Space !!!

Unique to Runsafe

There are two additional features unique to Runsafe that we use in our Survival world. They are our Wolf tracking plugin and our ability to pick up Monster Spawners.

Wolf Tracking

We have created and introduced our Wolf Tracking plugin which in essence helps you locate the nearest person in Survival. Simply, you have to have a wolf and a piece of string. You right click your wolf with your string and the wolf will direct you to the location of the nearest person.

Monster Spawners

Throughout the winding cave systems of our Survival world, you may be lucky enough to stumble upon a monster spawner. In poor and regular Minecraft you are unable to pick up these spawners and move them to your base. However, on Runsafe we have created a plugin that allows you to do so. The only requirement is that you have an item with the Silk Touch enchantment on it. You simply mine/chop/dig the item with this enchanted tool and you will notice a Monster Egg drop instead. This feature is only available on the monster spawners that you will find in any game of minecraft; Skeleton, Zombie, Spider, Cave Spider and Blaze.

When you pick up the egg you must be very careful, as trying to open a chest whilst holding it will cause you to place the egg, so make sure you open a chest holding another item.

This whole plugin was introduced to improve Survival and help create amazing bases.
