Troll

A Troll in the chat.

The Troll rank is used by lower-tier staff to flag a player for rule-breaks. This prevents them doing anything past talking in chat until a moderator or admin can follow up with a possible ban. Trolls do not have access to any commands. Ban appeals can be made on our TeamSpeak3 server. When speaking in chat, a Troll will appear with a gray name.

Guest

A Guest in the chat.

This is the default rank all players are given when they first join the server. A Guest is allowed to explore the creative and survival worlds as well as take part in spleef matches, however they have limited command access until promoted. When speaking in chat, a Guest will appear with a white name.

Builder

A Builder in the chat.

The most common rank on the server, a Builder has free-reign over the survival world, the right to own plots in creative, the ability to pvp, and access to most of the basic sever commands. Any Guest can become a Builder by asking staff nicely for a promotion. Any ranks above Builder cannot be obtained by asking. Higher ranks are given to players for various reasons, and decisions about promoting are made internally by our Admins. When speaking in chat, a Builder will appear with a green name.

Wizard

So majestic.

A Wizard is a mystical rank for people who are recognized in the Runsafe community but for various reasons are not on the staff team. These people are often close friends of the admins and will relay any problems on the server to the staff. Builders cannot become Wizards. When speaking in chat, a Wizard will appear with an orange name.

Currently Runsafe has 14 Wizards.

Wizards gain the following Privileges on the Runsafe Server:

AI

Server AI

The AI rank stands for "Artificial Intelligence". The server AI's all serve different purposes that can range from helping players to killing them. When an AI speaks in chat it appears light blue.

  • Runsafe now has 3 Server AI's
  • Dog - acts a basic super-user on the server
  • VaultSec - Protects the Vault in the Runsafe Bank.
  • Announcer - Makes important announcements.

Super-user

A Super-user being purple.

Super-users are the first tier of staff on the server, and they will assist players by answering any questions given, promoting Guests to Builders, and claiming plots for people. They also have the power to enforce rules using anything from mute commands to kicking players entirely. A Super-user will escalate any further rule breaks by contacting a Moderator or Admin. When speaking in chat, a Super-user will appear with a purple name.

Currently Runsafe has 6 Super-Users.

Super-users gain the following wiki privileges:

  • Protect pages
  • Edit protected pages
  • Create users

Super-users gain the following Privileges on the Runsafe Server:

  • 18 New server Commands (Which can be found on the Command Reference)
  • Have up to 7 Survival homes.

Moderator

A Mod in it's natural state.

A Moderator is a medium-tier staff member who works directly below the admins to enforce rules using a greater range of powers and permissions. Moderators only have to claim plots and promote players when their are no super-users available. Most of the time, moderators will delete unacceptable plots, repair griefed creations, and moderate player/lower staff behavior. When needed, moderators can also ban players, but this generally requires approval from an admin. When speaking in chat, a Moderator will appear with a blue name.

Currently Runsafe has 7 Moderators.

Moderators gain the following wiki privileges:

  • Block users

Moderators gain the following Privileges on the Runsafe Server:

  • 14 New server Commands (Which can be found on the Command Reference)
  • Have up to 8 Survival homes.

Manager

A wild Manager.

The Community Manager, unlike a Moderator or Super-User, has many jobs outside of the actual server, along with more command access should he need it. Unlike Superusers and Moderators, his main focus is to assist the Administrators and Developers, rather than the players. His main duties include (but are not limited to) managing the Runsafe wiki, Twitter, YouTube channel, advertising, and even DOG. The Manager can act as a Moderator if necessary, but like an Admin he does not often perform basic staff duties (such as plot granting) unless it is needed. The Manager is also expected to keep an eye the community -- making sure everything stays in check, and often reporting staff performance to the Admins. In chat a Manager will come up in dark aqua.

Currently Runsafe has 1 Manager.

  • JettKuso - Community Manager and Creative Director

Managers gain the following wiki privileges:

  • Delete pages

Managers gain the following Privileges on the Runsafe Server:

  • A variety of frequently changing server commands.
  • Have up to 9 Survival homes.

Admin

You don't mess with the red name.

Admins are the top-tier of staff on the server and keep everything in check. Our admins have full control over the server and work behind the scenes to build new plug-ins, keep non-runsafe plug-ins updated, test new revisions of Minecraft and Bukkit, schedule deployment of updates, plan and run server events and much much more. They are often quite busy, so it is suggested that you refrain from bothering them when other staff are online to assist you. When speaking in chat, an Admin will appear with a red name.

Currently Runsafe has 2 Admins.

  • docpify - Hardware/Network Manager & Programmer.
  • Kruithne - Server Owner & Programmer.

Admins gain the following Privileges on the Runsafe Server:

  • Admins hold all the commands the server has.
  • Have up to 10 Survival homes.
